If you haven’t tried the Westward line up, do yourself a favor. Really great stuff.

Exact reason why I started drinking whiskey and rarely beer. Weller 12 and Weller antique is much better but not more than msrp. Maker's Mark private barrel select with the different staves is a great wheated. Don't know what's available near you but total wine has a great Russell's store pick. Lastly, for a rye I higher recommend Pikesville and Wild turkey rare breed rye.

Congratulations! Digging that bottle station…some for baby girl and some for daddy. Would say to be careful when the sleep deprivation kicks in, but looks like you have the caffeine covered, too.

You can find them around me every so often but not at MSRP. Same with Weller. I can always find it, but it’s $50 instead of the $25 MSRP, which I’ve found only once.

Yeah...but it was ONLY 36 when it was bottled...

WOW...That's an amazing looking dark, rich Speyside there.
Before I even knew what varieties came from which region I discovered my palate was choosing speysides as my favorite.

That's Bowman Brothers. That's a different animal. If want the spirit distilled at Buffalo Trace it needs to say John J. Bowman on the bottle.

Not true, it’s bt juice, made and distilled by them. The difference is the regular bowman is bt but copper distilled.

The John j is single barrel, 10 year. Same mash bill as blantons but aged longer and copper distilled. Both are made at buffalo trace then shipped to Virginia. Buffalo trace owns bowman brothers distillery as well.

Very oaky lol, it was good but a bit too much for me. The 12 year was my favorite

After a little research I stand corrected. Both appear to be distilled at BT. I knew the John J was but never researched the BB.
But I will disagree with you on Buffalo Trace owning Bowman distillery.
Bowman Brothers Distillery is owned by Sazerac. Who just happens to also own Buffalo Trace.

Correct sazerac is the parent company, they are the big dogs in the bourbon game. If you ever take the bt tour they will tell ya all about it if you start prying and asking!

I need a proper cabinet to put my bourbon in. It currently sits in the pantry next to the Cinnamon Toast Crunch…

Had this tonight. Good old MGP rye. I wondered why mine had a pumpkin face on the cork.
