Rust around the badging with overlays?

Has anyone had an issue with rust forming around the badges / maybe badges with an overlay?
I live in Canada where snow/salt are normal and I placed a badge overlay ( from Amazon ).

I just wonder if it was a wise thing to do lol

 

Shouldnt be a issue unless you somehow got cast iron badges. The only thing that could cause a issue is if sand gets between the overlay and the paint and slowly wears away the paint, but as long as your washing it shouldnt be a problem.

Never, Toyota's don't have issues with rust on the body.

Take it in to get checked out. I live in Florida just drop off my 2019 to the dealer getting rust around the windscreen and top of car. Going to get fix by Toyota but still piss

Warranty what? the aftermarket badges? there is no rust right now, they are wondering if putting the overlays on their truck could cause rust.

Good old days of acid rain did that.

 

Growing up I always though acid rain was going to be more of a everyday problem.... that and quick sand.

 

Same here, I guess the air pollution has been cleaned up with tough regulations so acid rain is gone but quick sand is forever.
