Got rid of my last Ford in 2018 after it was 15 years old. Sold boat so thought don't need a truck anymore. Got SUV. Didn't want to spend what full size cost so I bought this one. 2020 SR5

So added the hitch and steps yesterday I saw rippled paint on the bottom of all 4 doors. It goes up about 3 inches. Hard to get a picture right now due to sun. My worry is it will eventually bubble and start chipping off. Anybody ever see this? Warranty? Never had paint work done on vehicle so not sure how well they could match it if I get it covered under warranty.

Welcome to TW…The paint that you’re referring to is a hardened coating to help prevent rock chips.

Welcome to TW from one newbie to another. Nice looking Taco!
I too came from full size pick ups and am loving how intuitive everything is about the Taco. Especially where city driving is concerned.

Your notice of the chip guard paint is just the first of many driver friendly enganutive design innovations you will appreciate as you become more aware, and in love with your new Taco.

Again, Welcome, lots of information and good conversation here!
