Anyone down for a Browns run this afternoon? Probably can get to the Shell/Chevron station around 3 pm.

Please report back how sloppy it was! :mudding:

I'm hoping to get out either Friday or Saturday to run Bates Road and Firebreak 5 to test out my new shock relocation and winch.

It was very wet and muddy out there. Stock tires did well enough. I did Happy Meal, University Firepower and i think Powerline 005. Happy meal was casual, some tight spots with the long bed but i felt more comfortable this time then the first time.

First time on University Firepower and it was messssssy. Slight nerves coming down. Got to test out the crawl control which makes a lot of noise but definitely gave me some peace of mind. I was sliding all over the place.

Powerline 005 was a little too challenging at the beginning for me so i backed down it. There was a part that had some stumps after the initial ascent and my tires weren't gripping. Definitely hope to try it in dry conditions and maybe after some bigger tires.

It was relatively empty. I saw a dodge ram while airing down outside of Happy Meal but he turned around as he was having trouble getting in.

Had to sell my 17 Tacoma for a tow rig in order to pull my new home. Still here for a bit to keep in touch.
Well, I did it. First step.
Got the Taco sold and bought a Ram Power Wagon. Not so great for the tight trails, but it will haul the trailer.
Headed for Mt. Defiance, then Bennett pass to camp at Badger lake tomorrow.

I have a taco attic from Blue ridge overland, a front recovery point upgrade, and a flip down step ill be getting rid of if anyone is interested. Also a set of 4 stock TRD wheels, three of them even have tires!

Nice! Congrats. I have been wondering what it'd be like to drive one of these myself lately. I've only driven the newer Ram 1500s, but not a Power Wagon. I sold my Taco recently as well and I'm thinking full size truck is probably next. Time frame TBD. How do you like the Power Wagon?

Its a beast. The ride is great and more power than I need. 12 to 15 mpg. So far I like it.

Hell, my Tacoma got 14 mpg with all city driving lol. You also have a big ole fuel tank now so the range is better than a Taco on 33s. I bet that thing is comfy. Crazy how they make a truck like that with lockers and sway bar disconnect. Love it.

Would love to come out sometime! Friends and I wheel around in our tacomas (+ a land cruiser) scouting out dispersed camp sites.

After being at Browns Camp the past 3 weekends, decided to visit Badger Lake before it gets snowed in. Appears I ran into @NW-Taco & his Power Wagon while at the lake, didn't see a single other car that day.

Snow in a few parts of the trail, but mostly dry overall.

Awesome thread guys. Probably the most local thread to me. Definitely want to head out to badger lake now. Especially to play in the snow.

Doesn’t Bennett Pass and Badger lake area close to motorized use around Dec 1? Anyone have a map of the winter closures in that general area of the forest?
