Just curious, what's the difference between this and the VFTuner?

Then why is the VFTuner $350 versus $170 for the Tactrix? I've been reading up on how to flash my own tunes, and this is one thing I haven't been able to figure out with regard to why they're priced differently. I guess my real question is: can I flash the KDMax tune with the Tactrix, or would I need to buy the VF?

VF includes the tuning software and the cable in the $350. Tactrix sells only the cable for $170.

This cable that OP is selling can be used to for tuning, however you will still have to buy the software from VF to be able to flash the tune. You should be able to buy the software license for ~$200 if you email VF and request to buy the software without the cable.

It used to be a separate listing on the VF site, but people kept buying only the software and getting pissed that they didn't receive the cable too. So Matt removed the software only option to save the headache, but it is still available upon request as far as I know.

That makes sense, appreciate the reply. Sorry OP for hijacking your thread, GLWS.
