Tried to order an Amsoil oil filter today and found almost all of their filter models to be out of stock. Anyone know when we might expect some inventory?

This seems more like a question for amsoil and not a bunch of people on a tacoma forum. But if I had to guess, I would say early 2024.

I get it, but if a significant number of people have this mindset it just exacerbates the supply issues.

I would probably to the same thing to make sure I get myself covered. However if everyone that uses said product does the same thing, doesn't that just escalate the issue further?

Just soak the used filter upside down in atf/acetone for 3 hours and then bake it dry at 250F....

Supply chain will get worse until 4th qtr of 2022, meaning what you want will take longer than before. Expect parity 1st qtr 2023.

Amazing how a bit of uncertainty for 6 weeks trashes the supply chain for 3 years.

Kinda like that thing where airplane issues at JFK ruin everyone else's day.

    Exactly.

I have always had the mindset to have consumables on hand so I don't get inconvenienced on a weekend evening where everything in town is already closed or out of stock. Shit just got worse with all the supply shortages and my (your) way of thinking.

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
No worries. Next it'll be foodstuffs. Because of the impact on petroleum derived plastics, containers for the stuff on your grocer's shelves will be in short supply.
Sure does. Especially when folks go buying more than the usual 1 or 2 extra.
The efficiency of the global distribution of goods got the bean-counters really into the 'just in time' delivery. This way distributers didn't have to pay for and warehouse most of our consumer products.
One hiccup in the supply chains effs things up for everyone. It'll be worse than Southwest Airlines latest snafu before it smooths out and gets back to normal.
