Rubberized coating traps moisture and that's not good. May I recommend something oily like Fluid Film

Mounted the Extreme LED light bar in the @upTOPoverland Alpha rack. Also ordered the billet battery terminals from SDHQ.

Pretty stoked on the results (form fitting/snug). Warmed up to 70s so popped off the side rail caps without issue, used a exacto to get a close cut and file for the finish. Had some rust in the weld nuts for the oem tonneau cover so I cleaned those out and stuffed them with m6 and antisieze (not that I plan to ever get a tonneau but I did the same to the engine bay). They don’t interfere with the side rail caps even without the cutouts. The foam square pad from my fiberglass cap (attached to the header rail) was going to interfere with the rubber plugs so I mocked it up against the plug and tapped it off like I did for the side caps and only removed the foam necessary.

so all I had done before was the foam pads on header rail which showed a gap from under the rail. I’m sure it leaked some but I never really paid no mind. Now with the plugs there is absolutely no hole and same coverage with the remaining foam pad. Will it still leak? I don’t know yet but it won’t be any worse than what it was and I didn’t care then either. I also doubt many others take the time to cut out for the plugs to fit like a puzzle (I think I seen one guy who I got the idea get pretty close). I just don’t like the silicone/putty stuffing (I also don’t sleep in the bed which I’m sure is a huge driving factor for the stuffing). I’ll have to update with a picture installed plug and foam

Yeah that seems like some gnarly carnage for the air bags not to deploy. Most vehicles go off for less.

My OEM QI charger was absolute SHIT. The only way it would charge any of my last three iphones is sans case, back down on QI pad. Put a case on it and non of them would reliably charge. This QI charger works fine with any of the cases I have (otterbox symmetry, apple leather case, or my otterbox defender). QI chargers do not typically work with iphones with the face toward the charger.

I was rear ended in my BMW by a drunk driver several years ago. I was going 55 mph. Her air bags deployed and her car, as well as mine, was totaled. The highway patrolman at the scene told me that difference in the rate of speed had to be at least 25 mph to cause the air bags to deploy. Don’t know if that is true but it’s what he said.
