See how easily the blades spin by hand. Could be a bearing. If they spin easily try blowing the dust out of the vent holes. If nothing works probably time for a new fan.

I made sure I wasn't parking on any graves; My truck doesn't leak anything, either...

I also learned something interesting at a car show yesterday that I was previously unaware of; I was talking to some guys from this local hearse club who were showing their cars, and I found out from them that at least in North America, caskets are buried in concrete mausoleums under the ground. Until yesterday, I was under the impression that caskets were lowered directly into the ground and buried, but for health reasons this is no longer the case.

I think part of this is because the people who regulate cemeteries were thinking of the deceased as well; Chances are that families of the deceased, as well as groundskeepers, drive vehicles that may not be in the best shape and thus leak various fluids. The aforementioned mausoleums not only keep a decomposing body from causing issues with the outside world, but probably keep the outside from getting to the bodies; It also doesn't even have to be a car or truck...

Lawns have to be mowed and paths have to be cleared to keep the cemeteries maintained, and I'm guessing that lawnmowers, weedwhackers, and snowblowers occasionally leak fluids; Not every groundskeeper has the steadiest hands, and I'm sure oil or gas has been spilled and inevitably absorbed into the the ground. And again, my truck has almost 140K miles and burns a tiny bit of oil, but does not leak anything!

Haiku is a subsidiary of Big Ass Fans and their residential line, but still way out of my price range; I love Big Ass Fans, but I even if I had the coin, one of the original ones would be overkill (and too big) for my room!

Also, on another note, you all probably notice that one of the four lights does not work...

A couple years ago, a bulb burned out; I changed it, and when I did, all four lights would turn on and off by themselves. The fourth light is operational, but the bulb is unscrewed so the other three work properly.

My friend Tyler owns a hearse and is a member of the aforementioned club; One time I inadvertently confused caskets with coffins and Tyler gave me a lecture on the different between the two...

One of my other car show buddies from the hearse and flower car club also told me that back in the day, being buried alive was far more common than anyone would ever want to admit, and that once the old school coffins were sealed, it was virtually impossible to tell which side was the top; As a result, coffins were laid in the ground upside down, and if the person was alive they couldn't get out...

This resulted in them getting buried alive and dying for real; On modern caskets, it is easy to tell the top from the bottom, and the lid opens very easily if a person is in fact still alive.

Even though the terms casket and coffin are used interchangeably, there is an obvious difference between the two, but I think at this point it's like calling any tissue a Kleenex or any adhesive bandage a Bandaid...

I'll be going with Haiku's one day.

They sell dumbed down models at costco for a more reasonable rate.

Lol your weird dude. It’s the internet. Not everyone has to agree with what everyone else says or does. It’s ok to have different views on things. If all you want if for everyone to agree with everything you do then maybe the internet isn’t the place for you.

For the lights issue - Likely you have too high a wattage total with the bulbs you're trying to run. Back around 2005 there were governmental regs put in place to keep users from running more than 190 watts of total lighting in a ceiling fan, so wattage limiters were put in all of them. They can be bypassed, I had to bypass one in my ceiling fan, as even with appropriate # of bulbs and wattage when you turned the fan on, the lights would come on, then after a few seconds they would dim out like at the movies.

I'd bet the speed module for your fan is no longer a simple mechanical switch, and rather has some kind of circuitry that regulates speed - especially with the remote. Pull the batteries out of the remote - just to see if the remote might be part of the problem.

Get the model number off the fan - it is usually on a sticker on the upper surface - and look up parts lists and see if there's a speed module for it.
