So while putting on a ditch light bracket. I have dropped one my hood bolts, and I cant find it. I think its somewhere in the fender, but cant be sure. So I need to buy another bolt (2021 TRD Pro)

From what i can find the part number is 90080-10384. I found it by going to the Toyota Parts website and finding it.

    https://parts.toyota.com/showAssemb...ne=61751&ukey_trimlevel=160063&modelYear=2021

BUT when i go to purchase the part is says it will not fit my vehicle. Is this just a glitch? Its clearly listed in the diagram?

Also, anyone know the torque value of these bolts?

Can't you take the other side out and go to Home Depot or something to match it up?

The bolt has a bulged section at the top to help it self center? So i ideally I put back what was there.

Maybe pull the fender liner out and get the bolt back? cant imagine having a bolt bouncing around in there for the next 10 years is a good thing.

Thats what I am thinking I am going to try now. Trying to find a tutorial to help. I see how the mud flaps are on, but not obvious how the rest is held together. Also going to try to get a magnet down in there to see if i can get it. In the meantime, want to confirm I have the right part number If I cant get it.

If you can’t find it, take good measurements of the bolt and see if you can find a match on McMasters-Carr. I was able to find a really bizarre bolt for my wheels on there. You can go to a local hardware store to find the thread pattern. Just FYI, McMasters sells everything in bulk and I had to buy 50 because that was the lowest option lmao

Just remove the black bolts that are on the liner and it will eventually come off. If the bolt is painted the same color as your truck, you dont need to remove it.

You also dont need to remove the whole liner, just enough to get the rear part of it out of the way.

I've dropped less important things in the engine bay and then wasted some midnight hours trying to find it.

My reasoning was that if I can't confirm exactly where it is, then how do I know it's not colliding with something important? And if I can confirm exactly where it is, might as well retrieve it then.

Exactly. Bolts bouncing around in the fender might get stuck between the fender and the foam. After a little while the vibration will scratch away the paint on the inside of the fender and then it will quickly rust.
