Hey I had to sacrifice my mental health and recruit two college students to live with me in order to have one.

If I was living alone on my 50K salary I’d have a tiny apartment or a cardboard box. Can’t imagine how people with lower paying jobs feel in this town now.

Wow, it's like they actually listened to users. return of mag safe, more ports, a full set of function keys

With 33s on, my fingers push against the ceiling of my garage when trying to lift the hood.

And the lack of function keys drives me nuts, my wife has an MacBook Air and I can't for the life of me get used to the fact that you have to press 2 keys simultaneously to adjust the volume or brightness

I hear ya, the average salary in CA isn't much higher than that, and the income needed to live on your own (with a garage) is way above it for most people

I saw a listing online the other day for a 1 bedroom going for $3k, and the guy wanted proof of income that the rent wouldn't be more than 1/4 the renter's monthly income..LOL. Its getting crazy

This was a 1 bedroom apartment at that. Granted, $3k for a 1 bedroom is crazy even by CA standards unless its in some ritzy part of Hollywood or right on the ocean.

edit - or up in SF Bay Area

yeah I just remembered SF Bay Area too, it's probably cheap for up there. I just don't get why someone pulling in $12k a month would even be interested in renting but they are out there.

I always assume those people rent because they want to maintain career flexibility. Need to job hop to the other side of the country for a 20% raise? No problem.
