    or…

replace the whole thing with a regular ceiling light.

(‘complicated’ things that ‘fail’ get replaced with ‘simple’ things, or eliminated, at my house)

Take off the light pot and you will see the remote receiver. Disconnect it and hook wires directly to fan. You should be able to control fan by daisy chain by doing that and that will bypass your remote control. Try that first before you buy a new fan. Don't forget to disconnect power first before working on it.

I like having a ceiling fan; Quieter than a regular fan (when it works) and it keeps the room cool. I cannot sleep in a warm room; It's a sensory thing.

What's really weird is that the light still works through the remote control.

If you really want to rule out the extraordinarily unlikely event that your remote has an issue, jump the fan to the light.
My guess is it's the speed capacitor.

Overhead fans are extremely simple devices.

Yes but the light is a different function than the fan control

It sounds like you are not too electronically inclined like I am. Instead of pulling it apart I would just replace it. I have always had Hunter and never had a problem. South Florida is full of them, but yes there are a lot nicer ones as well

actually it doesn’t. your sweat evaporating makes your skin ‘feel’ cooler, but at the end of the day your electric bill, and the burning coal that made it, proves that the room is gaining heat.

Also, it's weird; My house has dual-zone central A/C (one for the 1st floor and one for the 2nd floor). It works good, but the upstairs system has the furnace in the attic, and the air is delivered via flex duct; My room is basically the last stop for train, for lack of a better analogy. The A/C vent in my room is weaker than the vents in the other rooms, and setting the thermostat to 67 degrees when it's really hot outside is the only way to keep my room perfect; The ceiling fan helped offset some of the discomfort on hot days as well. I recently acquired a portable air-conditioner from friends who moved to Florida and didn't need it anymore because their new place down there has central air (and I got it after the ceiling fan quit, which is why I haven't addressed the ceiling fan until now); This makes my room frigid on even the hottest days and honestly negates the need for a ceiling fan.

Look up "duct booster" or "register booster" depending on your setup

I got this air-conditioner for free not long after the ceiling fan broke and haven't needed the ceiling fan...

    B2C350A2-50BB-4322-A22F-B8500BCD9581.jpg

However, it is getting cooler and I will just be using the A/C as a fan; The reason I want the ceiling fan operational again is purely for sensory issues.

Easy process of elimination. Disconnect the Honeywell module from the fan, if the fan works, it’s the Honeywell module, if it doesn’t, it’s the fan. There may be a start cap in the fan motor that has failed, you can pull it and measure the capacitance. Replacing a fan takes about 15 minutes.

this is true. I recently installed a fan with no prior experience. Very easy and all your wiring is there. Should take you no more than an hour, and that’s taking your time.

The person who bought my aunt and uncle's old house in Northern Virginia installed those; It was a huge 5-bedroom 2-story home with only one 5-ton central A/C for the whole house... o_O

The 2nd floor was consistently miserable in the summer when they lived there; The house was built in 1981 and was very well built, but I'll never understand why the builder of such a high-end house installed only one A/C system!

Anyway, it seems rather annoying that my house, which is smaller than my aunt and uncle's but has two systems, would require a duct booster...
