It depends on what the part is you're working on.

Would I put in suspension? Nope, don't have the tools or the time or the knowledge.

Would I install and run the wiring for my shell lights or the electronic lock for the tailgate? Install my RSi shell? Install my full RCI skids and LCA skids? Do the A/C drain mod or the rear diff breather mod? Sure.

Just had an exhaust reroute done and had him install the switch wiring for my ARB compressor and locker. I changed to aftermarket switches and it needed a new harness. That's currently outside my scope of understanding and while I could probably figure it out there's a cost benefit analysis for me. In this case it was easier to pay someone to do it than do it myself.

Agreed. I'd add, there are some things in life I just have zero desire to do myself. Like could I figure it out how to replace my septic line? Sure...probably. But I'm not interested in getting elbow deep in my own shit to save a few bucks. :crapstorm:

My 20 SR will only let me if I lock it from outside the truck. I have to use the other key

It won't lock with the keys in it. Except, when you use the keypad on the windshield. Yep, use the keypad and you can lock your keys inside the truck without any other modification or fob disabling, etc.

Depending on your lifestyle it can either be very convenient or a complete waste of money. I live near the beach (not close enough to walk) and I often lock my keys, phone and wallet in the truck while swimming.

My F-250 had a keypad and I loved it. Used it when at the beach and when hunting. I'm seriously considering adding this.

Had my 40K service today, including my last “free” oil change. While they had it, I also got the fuel pump recall and 3rd brake light seal done. Never had any leaking before, but wanted to go ahead and get it out of the way.

How many free oil changes did you get? I just used my last one and I'm at 26k miles.

I got 2 free in 8k miles. That's an oil change every 4k.

I was eligible for 2 free oil changes (1 every 5k), but I've always done them myself instead. I thought Toyota only gave 2 free?

Since last week, I installed Sequential Turn Signals, Raptor Lights (4 LEDs) and a Ragu Bed Stiffener. I also was able to install my 2m/440 mobile rig connected to a dual band glass mount antenna. This week, I am hoping to receive my BillieBars and extra Molle attachment via UPS. I'll post pics once I get the chance.

My Tacoma came with ToyoGuard Platinum, which provides 2 additional oil changes and 4 tire rotations after the standard Toyota Care expires.

I'm actually planning to dyno the truck a bunch even though it's just a Plain Jane daily driver and I know almost nothing about cars.

    Desired tests:
    1. Baseline, as stock (in terms of performance/wheels/tires... the spinny stuff)
    2. After adding heavier/larger wheels/tires
    3. After adding CAI
    4. After regearing
    5. After supercharger (some day :spending:)

It's kind of expensive in terms of being completely unnecessary, but really valuable in terms of providing quantifiable data to myself and other TW dorks.

I have an Injen CAI that I took off because I got a supercharger. It was only on for a few hundred miles. PM me if you’re interested.

Is there a reason to not use a CAI with a supercharger? The Magnuson at least looks like hooks into the stock intake in their marketing shots.

Magnuson doesn’t supply a tune that they guarantee works with anything other than the stock, or TRD, intake. I swapped to the TRD.
