Do you have one of these nasty hunks of metal between your coilover and frame? If so that's your problem.

My previous Taco had rough country's already installed when I had purchased it and it didn't handle terrible so it felt like a no Brainerd to just get another set for this one..
    Never again lol

Seems like a legitimate product. Nitrogen shocks with 10 stage damping tuned for the Tacoma according to the literature. Obviously a budget choice compared to other options, but still should be a lot better than the $20 shocks Toyota puts on the truck.

Hopefully someone here has run this kit and could comment.

Hoping someone who has will find their way here! Appreciate all the info guys. Got a big road trip in November and I surely don't want to deal with a headbanging ride the whole way.

Yeah. Let us know how the tire pressure affects it for starters.

Am I right that the lift coil-overs came with their own springs? Not the OEM springs?

I don’t think I’ve ever driven a 3” lifted Tacoma that rides well. E range tires are a bit heavy for a taco too and definitely will make the ride rougher.

usually 2.5” is the highest to go without sacrificing too much ride quality. Aftermarket upper control arms can help alignment with the 3” lift for sure.. I bet you have not enough caster causing an darty ride

For sure, it came with its own springs aswell. I kept all the original hardware as a just in case.

I'm heavy considering going with the bilstein 5100 2 inch kit with OME springs and OME UCA. Going to try lowering the tire pressure first and seeing if that helps the rode quality at all

32 psi is what I run my e range 33s at on my 1st gen tundra. Weight wise they’re similar to the 3rd gen taco. May ride better. If that doesn’t help much before scrapping the whole setup I would look into having it aligned with a bit
More caster. Factory specs go out the window when you lift the trucks. Ideally camber as close to zero, factory toe and a bit extra positive caster. The alignment specs for the TRD lift kit likely would be a good one to go off

You installed a cheap lift and went past 2” without adjustable UCAs, either of those things on their own will make for non ideal driving dynamics, both will be awful.

Tbh if I were in your position I’d get good aftermarket UCAs and get your truck aligned by someone who really knows off road alignments and see if it made enough of an improvement to get some use out of the rough country setup. 3 inches of lift with stock UCAs will really impact your front suspension geometry.

It’s really no risk because if you’re upgrading to better suspension components all around you’re really not going to reap most of the benefit of the nice suspension without correcting the geometry
