You likely won’t get it to stop, I tried and gave up. It’s not substantial and I have yet to add fluid to it except for when the rack was out. I even made wrenches for getting at the fittings on the rack. I know it’s all tight. Sometimes that shit just happens with hydraulic stuff. That’s a whole lot of pressure.

I think my kit came with a hose that was too short from the cooler to the rack. The longest was only 36" and it had to stretch kinda weird under my rad. Would have preferred to run it across with the high pressure line and then up to the cooler.

That’s pretty much how I have mine ran. Splits off at the frame and runs to the cooler.

    Too many to remember
This is correct and 36” hose is what is needed. It’s important to have the hose routing in a sweeping fashion as hard bends restrict flow

There's no chance mine would reach like that. It had to go basically straight from the rack to the cooler. Looking at the kit pictures from the other guys they had one bigger loop and mine had all shorter lengths. Unless I'm missing something really easy

How did you run your line from the cooler to reservoir? Maybe that run was too long and that’s what made the second piece too short? If I recall, I only had to cut the return line once. I installed the fittings and found the shortest cleanest route I could and cut to the exact length needed. This is how mine is run from cooler to reservoir.

Mine looks like yours. I got 2 chunks that were basically the same length within a couple inches, so I cut the shorter one for the cooler>resi, then used the longer one for rack>cooler.

Here's a pic I had on my phone pre-install. I also didn't receive that nice 90° fitting for the overflow. No big deal though

I know I saw one other that it was ran under the radiator. If I’m recalling right, my hose came as one piece and I had to cut it.

I'm on offset + 1.25" spider trax spacers and I don't hit shaft, but I do rub fender on my 255 skinnies. A 2" cut will fix that. Already cut the front just need to cut the rears. Performed well offroad aside from that rubbing in certain spots. Crawled up a pretty craggy spot. Might go 285s next time around though. Not enough tread patch when aired down on the skinnies for my liking. Was damn near debeading. My fault for getting 17x9 wheels though so my tires are a little stretched with being skinnies. Saw a set of Gladiator take offs that I might consider snagging if I can get the skinnies sold.

I mean, I can't complain, it definitely works. Just would have preferred to run the hose the way you did for a cleaner install. I can also go buy a chunk of hose for not much money haha

I always try to run hoses in a way they can be attached to something. Otherwise if they rub on anything it will lead to problems. Sometimes it’s a longer run to do it that way, I just feel you’re eliminating potential issues.

Need some help diagnosing something. I’ve had a vibration in the back that I’ve ignored, but might be getting worse. No combination of shims or carrier bearing drops change it. Seems to be worse when it’s cold. Happens only at 40mph on the dash. If I breeze through 40 then I won’t feel it.

Cold this morning, keep it at 40 and the whole truck shook up and down. I could watch the cab and bed move independently like I was hauling ass over speed bumps. Really bad and impossible to ignore. Switched to 4th and it went away. I thought transmission or torque converter, but my wife’s FJ has that stutter issue and it’s more tight vibrations. Mine are like I have giant oval tires only at 40mph. Before I throw money at stuff I thought I’d see if anyone had experienced anything similar.

I’ll check it, ujoints are fairly new and don’t have any play. Would think I’d get a vibe at another speed though…

Yea and it would fade in/out consistently with speed. Hope it's something simple.

You and me both. I may replace the ujoints since I don’t have any trail spares anyways. I’m leaning towards the trans though. Maybe I can get a two for one special and take the FJ in too haha

If you can make the vibe come and go you’re likely losing your rear diff. When you’re driving and it starts to vibe, what happens when you let off on the pedal and coast? Does it go away?
