if youre in the eastern UP, head up to Crisp Point Light house and then the gravel road over to Munising along the lake past 12 mile and Hurricane Beach (which are very nice BTW)...Just my opinion

Thanks. Planning my routes now for tomorrow. I think I'll get out to copper harbor tomorrow, with adding in some extra stops it looks doable.

Yeah I'm only about 20 miles west of the bridge here.

Just mapped it with the lighthouse added. That's straight north and puts me at an 8 hour day just mileage. So - if I get up early enough I'm game but if I am not on the road before 7 tomorrow probably will have to skip the lighthouse and take some tarmac.

Not sure about beaching it. Weather isn't THAT good  - but Ill probably stop at one so the dog can take a dip.

Please teach everyone else. Freaking people will slow down for anything.... And I'll be damned if I take a semi to the rear while rubber necking (you're welcome)

@koditten hope that isnt where he is cause that's a wilderness area on the National Forest...GREAT hiking trail from the old Foley Creek Campground out to Horseshoe Bay though with some amazing sandy beaches! I dont think he is in that area, I just re-read his post and he was 20 miles west of the bridge! So had to be over near Breevort Im guessing.

And yet you'll still get blown by by Illinois people!

But this is the truth. Years ago, Brad Keselowski (NASCAR driver from Detroit area, for those who don't know) mentioned he hates being passed but was back in MI for the race. He was doing 90 on his way home and still got passed by 6 cars. He said he was never happier to get passed.

    No kidding!

Wife just reminded me that we ate our last 2 the other night. Need to plan a day to do a couple dozen to have in the freezer.

    They are so convenient.

Remove from freezer, toss in the oven for 40 minutes, and enjoy.

That's a horrible idea. What time?
I can't get those in Virginia. Guess I need a good MI recipe.

Gonna take a ride to the "tunnel of trees" tomorrow.

Oddly enough, I've never been down that stretch before.
