Looking for advice/direction from the true Tacoma Pros on TW regarding a suspension lift.

I have a 21' TRD Sport Double Cab with a long box.

The official word from Toyota Canada is that they "Don't Recommend the TRD Lift Kit for the DBLB" and that it could "possibily" effect the warranty (https://pressroom.toyota.com/step-up-new-tacoma-trd-lift-kit-now-available/ ). I have recently confirmed this over the phone with a customer service rep at head office.

However, My dealership says that they can do it.?!

I've asked around the local Tacoma groups here in Canada, but generally get mixed information. Everything ranging from "fuck the warranty. It's a Tacoma" and "use Bilstein 5100s for better bang for your buck."

Also, received some sound info about the Rear end sag with the long box and the need for an extra leaf. Another comment about the rear drive shaft angles not working with a lift.

I'm trying to get to the bottom of this. Ultimately, I'm looking to give my truck a few extra inches of clearance. Something equivalent to the TRD Lift - 2" front / 1" rear

Is it possible with a TRD Sport DBLB. What do I need to get this done? Will it kill any part of my warranty?

Bilstein 5100’s you can’t go wrong. I’ve since upgraded to 6112’s / 5160’s great set up as well. I’m about 2” of lift up front with about 1.5” or more in rear. Ride is great on and off-road. I’m also running 265/75/16 on 16x8 methods. In the rear you can do 3 leaf aal. Plan on doing ECG’s bushing while front end is apart. IMO I would do UCA’s to help with driving and alignment. Lots of good info on here. Good luck OP

It will void the warranty for any part that's replaced. They can deny warranty work too. For example, if you were to install aftermarket fog lights and a rat chews through the oem wireharness, the warranty for the fog lights will be void and the warranty for the harness would not.

    list is growing fast
    You’re overthinking it.

correct, warranty work will only be denied on the parts you replace, or if it caused a problem directly. Like driveline vibes after a lift. Sometimes you get a cool dealer and will help out anyways. Sometimes they act likes ducks and won’t even look at it without saying you voided your warranty.

You can absolutely lift your DCLB safely and without problems. Whoever said you can’t or it’s different than The other trims is high.

    2021 OR DCLB here.
Just last weekend I did Billy 5100s with OME 885s in the front.
Billy 5100s in the rear as well with Wheeler AAL + keep the overload leaf.

I need to measure again, as the only measurements I've taken were right out of the garage, but here were the results:
Measurements before (ground to bottom of wheel well)
    DF:34 5/8
    PF: 35
    DR: 36 1/4
    PR: 36

Measurements after (just pulled out of the garage, I need to remeasure after a shakedown run, and again after alignment)
    DF: 35 3/4
    PF: 36 1/2
    DR: 38
    PR: 37 3/4

No issues so far (but to be quite honest I haven't driven it more than ~20 miles yet).
