ok AK fans, found this MAK 90 locally going by tomorrow morning to check it out. has the folder indent/crosses on the receiver so is it a angled rear receiver? also no NORINCO etched on the left side which from research also validates angle cut. supposed to be new and unfired.
    is it worth $1K? thanks13565350_01_mak_90_640.jpg

only if it’s been convertet but I’ve seen people buy at that price unconverted. Those prices are closer to Bulgy SA93 unconverted or a saiga.

looked at completed listings on gunbroker. seem to hover around the $1200/$1300 range.
it is brand new, matching numbers. had to buy it for $900. going to leave it as is. bought it for what it is, not what it could become.

So I traded my SA M7 classic and some cash for this beautiful /66\ Type 56s. Based on the serial it appears to be an 85' import

Enlarged the thumb hole a little and smoothed down the hand grip, feels a lot better. I need to clean up the butt pad a little, a lot of that was on it before I got it.

Anyone interested in trading for a Golani F stamp GLN prefix? Has a 50 and 35 round mag, two AR Handguards, one arm Handguard and the proper gas block and nos imi bipod

I am looking for preban or converted firearms but am open to other offers. Really have the itch for a preban 84s or a Chinese arsenal SKS plus cash

    Can send pictures upon request.

That sks trigger snap was a deal killer for me.
Couple i shot would sting your trigger finger...bad.

Cant believe what folks pay for the AK these days.

...or anything for that matter, its like money is worthless anymore.

I think you may like one of the chinese public security forces sks rifles, they are not as common and typically much nicer than the typical sks found floating around for sale

an old tula sks would be nice though as well

Anyone in here have experience with 5.56 AKs? My work bought one from the local SWAT team and I've thrown my name on it. They seem to be a love or hate thing from what I've read so far.

It's an Arsenal SLR106FR and only comes with that one 5.45 bakelite mag. So I know I'll need to get mags if they let me buy it.20211014_163516.jpg

    RUSSIAN QUAD STACK 60rd
Description: The origins of this unusual polymer magazine are unclear, but it has been seen featured on the AK-12 in many photos found on the Internet. Essentially two 30rd magazines fused together, the quad stack features "blown out" sides tapering down to a standard double-column feed neck, with dual springs and followers inside. Pictures and engineering drawings of this magazine have been circulating around the Internet for some time. Rarely seen even in Russia, these barely progressed beyond the prototype stage due to feed problems. This led to the 50rd version documented below. The one shown in the photo to the left is likely an early prototype, with others like the one seen to the right bearing an Izhmash logo on the bottom right side like standard magazines. At least one made its way to the US, which sold for a substantial sum.

My particular mag is showing the KGB Spetsnaz camo from either group A or B. Meaning that this particular quad stack has been through battle testing with the groups and is still in tact. I've seen a beautiful intact black one trade for a Russian Vepr last year. These quads are worth their weight in gold and hoping this one lands me a polytech spiker

Well work is going to let me buy that AK tomorrow. We have some of the new polymer Zastava M90 5.56 mags that fit (super tight) so I'll buy a couple of those and see how they run.
