Skid plates! I figured steel is going to keep getting more expensive for the time being, so took the opportunity to protect the rest of the undercarriage with RCI ones. I already have a BPF engine skid plate.

Today was a huge pain in the ass. :bananadead:

Took on several front end projects at once, including things I hadn’t done before, so learning curve and swearing and so many blue shop towels covered in grease.

Today was the day to tackle the squeaking lower spherical bearings in my King coilovers. Just did this a little over a year ago I think. I also pulled both CVs, so I could reboot them, and swap out my front diff needle bearing for an ECGS bushing.

Pulling the needle bearing was a pain, as the tool, didn’t quite fit. Spent nearly an hour trying to get it to fit and it just wouldn’t. So I ended up grinding it down a hair on both sides and finally got it to be able to pull out the needle bearing. Also the ECGS bushing is a pretty tight fit for the CV and it took a damn lot of work to for that bitch back in after I rebooted it.

And Imma tell you right now, rebooting CVs is a goddamn messy hassle. Musta went through 50 blue shop towels. Also getting those boot clamps to crimp without the crimping tool was a pain. I damn sure will be buying one if I ever reboot these CVs again. Here’s hoping there’s no leaks or spraying grease!

I finished putting Amazon sound deadening in the doors and skar woofers in the rear. Makes a huge difference in road noise. Next up is sound deadening the headliner. My roof racks make a ton of wind noise at 70+ mph.

    Thank you!

    The headlights are: https://www.ebay.com/itm/313288572465
I had to seal them up since there was literally none there when I got them. You get what you pay for though, the beam pattern is nowhere near the OEM TRD Pro headlights. In hindsight I think I would splurge for the OEM but these look good cosmetically and my old ones were not in a good way.

Current setup. Sold my canopy a few weeks back... regret it. Waiting on my @upTOPoverland truss rack to put my tent on. I hate the look that I have right now. Tent overhangs up front and kills my MPG more than my truck already does. Makes way to much noise as well. Currently removed the tent until my bed rack comes. Such a nicer and smoother drive lol.

95% sure you always have to grind-to-fit the bearing tool. I spent a good long while going back and forth to the pedestal grinder to get mine in. I tell everyone who heard that I did mine and asked me to do theirs I charge $200 an install. What a huge pain that was, and I almost broke my fingers hammering on the race driver.
