    I had this happen, one of my bearings was loose where the four bolts attach to the spindle. This caused the rotor to shift when applying the brakes and the pedal would feel soft or sink, second press usually ok. Tightened those bolts down and issue fixed. Just something to check.

    Thanks. I remember tightening those about as tight as I could with the wrench. Cant use a torque wrench on those. I'll double check. Here's the other thread I was referring to. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/soft-brakes-80-pedal-travel-solved.603366/

    I understand with excessive play in very loose bearings sure but not with new bearings.

    Got mine installed last night! I also was able to swap out the dust shields for the proper size to match the 5th 4runner brake upgrade. Thanks again for the quick shipping and great pricing.
