ECU TSB Update

That is correct, but again, this is about ECU Updates. vF Tune support, or that by any of the S/C vendors is something that is not being tracked here.

 

i'm going to flash my ecu tomorrow, but I just want to confirm I have the right file.

I have a 2018 automatic. Is this the right file? T-0036-18 - 04A61 CUW.zip

It won't let you flash the incorrect file but I'm pretty sure that's the file I used for my truck. I also have a 2018 sr5 automatic. I just downloaded them all and tried until it let me because I didn't feel like trying to figure out which one was correct. It will simply not let you flash it if it's the wrong file.

 

There's a chart in the 1st Post with Model Years and transmissions. Also, the filename has the updated ECU ID in it.

That file is the right one for a 2018 AT.

 

What is this? A recall?!?!

 

Pop open one or two of the TSBs and have a read.

If you have questions after that, post them up.

So i'm going to head out and attempt this, i have everything setup. I just have a question. I am the second owner of my truck. Is there a way to find out through techstream if the tsb was done, and will i harm my ecu if i try flashing the car with the tsb if it was already performed.

 

As noted, it is foolproof. It will not flash the same update or a wrong file. Launch the CUW and see what the wizard shows.

I’m taking my 2021 OR to dealer for routine maintenance and my free oil/filter change. What’s the latest TSB ECU update? I’m requesting the update with the service, I doubt they’ll do it but I’m requesting.

Take the TSB with you printed out and in my experience they do it.

 

hey guys, i have a 2021 OR at the dealer now getting repairs. I am pretty sure it was made in Mexico. So do I just ask them to flash it to 04C00?

 

Build location has nothing to do with it. Year, transmission, and Model Year is all.

If yours was made after about May, it already has 04C21 on it. No harm in asking though.

 

Ok great thank you. So basically just ask them to make sure it has the lastest ECU 04C21? Just want to make sure I get the wording right.
