Here is some photos of the Go Fast Camper fitting on a Short Bed Double Cab Tacoma. The GFC clears the Prinsu Cab rack by just a hair without any cutting.
Did a bit of wheelin’ the other day and it definitely was coming into contact with the rack often. I plan on putting some shock absorbing spacers in between the small gap to see if this will help without putting too much constant stress on the camper and the rack.

Did you install the GFC or did you drive up to them to install it?

Alright, I just wanted to know because I have that roof rack and am ordering a GFC. I just wanted to see if there was an issue with installing it or if I should switch my rack out with a habitat rack. I appreciate it.

I wager you'll not gain good measures by insulating between the rear portion of the rack and GFC cabover.

If you are keeping both mods, long term: cut off the Prinsu past the "B" pillar. You require more articulation between the bed and cab than your current setup offers.

Love it! The GFC that is...your Taco is cool too!

Interesting that the Roof Rack height can be a factor in this set up.

I think if you go to GFC they will recommend you remove your rack before they install it

Yeh, I think I saw another taco owner cut his part way and I didn't mind the look of it so I might go that route. I'd rather not stress either the cab over or the rack!

You could also try putting some vehicle trim on the prinsu to avoid metal on metal contact. Like the stuff they use for aftermarket bumpers when you make cuts.

    Just an idea.

I personally recommend cutting down the rack to give yourself some more clearance. Other manufacturers (alucab) have a minimum clearance measurement that they recommend between the overhang and a rack.

Hit a big enough bump on or off-road and it will cause decent damage.

Update: ended up cutting about an inch off the back end of the Prinsu cab rack. Haven’t had any problems with the GFC touching the rack now.

If off-road won’t the flex of the bed which is different than the cab hit the rack?

It has alittle over 2inches of clearance between the cab rack and gfc overhead. My bed hasn't flexed enough to hit it anymore but if it does, I'm going to keep shaving the rack down until everything is good.

The rack takes like an hour to install. making sure you put good enough sealant down to waterproof the top where the rack bolts into the cab, that took me the longest
