I've been having intermittent horn issues, cruise wouldn't turn on, as well the Airbag light on my dash consistently (no blinking or turning on after driving a bit - it's just always stays on when the truck is running).

Today I replaced the spiral cable (got one from Rock Auto) and the only thing it seemed to fix was cruise control. Horn still doesn't work and the airbag light is still on. Is it possible that I got a faulty spiral cable replacement? Where should I go from here?

I've checked most if not all of the related fuses with a multimeter and haven't found anything. I've checked the connections for the airbag modules under the seat and under the stereo. I'm lost!

You need code reader that has ability to read airbag codes. Auto zone and other parts stores don't have these code readers. Ask me how I know. You can use wires attached to I think it's 4 and 13 on the obd outlet and it will give you a blinking signal which will match up to a code. Double check I'm not sure of the numbers 4 and 13. But Google it and it will explain the process. Easiest thing would be a friend that has code reader with those capabilities. My garage wanted 66.00 dollars to get the code. Best of luck

Get a USB or Bluetooth OBD reader. Download OBDLink on your phone. Spend the $10 for the SRS reading capability for your truck. Plug it in and clear the codes.

Horn could also be a bad horn switch or a ground cable at the wheel. Did you check to see if the horn relay is getting triggered, and if the horn relay is functional? The airbag light could have been multiple malfunctions.

I ended up finding out that the actual horn doesn't work! It looks like the circuit is fine so I'll just need to install a new horn. Thank you!

I have a generic $10 Amazon reader. OBDLink tells me that it can only communicate with an official OBDLink adapter. Is there a workaround?
