    Full ambi lowers are really nice. I’m pretty sure the tricky parts already come installed, but you should watch a video anyways. I don’t mean to speak for everyone but the first build usually ends up scratched or dropped in the process unless you have all the vise blocks and proper tools.

    Bought a Savage Axis compact in 6.5 creedmoor (in camo of course) for my son's upcoming 11th birthday yesterday at Cabela's. It is actually a pretty decent little rifle - the action is smooth, it's pretty light and compact, and it came with a basic (crap) Weaver scope and rings for $359.

    Also, I forgot that you walk out the door same day with bolt actions and kiddo and Mrs. Taco were there with me. Thinking fast, I told him it was a rifle I'd been waiting years to get. (not a lie) Pretty sure he will be surprised when he unwraps it.

    My favorite is a kydex from Rain City Tactical (Bonney Lake, WA). He custom makes and molds everything in a ton of variations.If kydex is too rigid or uncomfortable I would go with leather. What are you carrying?
