Jeezus... I looked at this picture and... showed it to my wife for confirmation. She said, "It looks like YOU!!! I'd have thought it was you except you haven't gone fishing."

    Another doppleganger walking around.

A little something every chance we get.
As the sun sets on the greenhouse vent project (all this to get more ambient air!), I'm glad to see it done. Probably start with the winter insulation next week. Not going to repeat last year regardless, with 50% loss of the pool plants.

You can see, the greenhouse "grew" a little bit compared to this winter. Our "city lights" only needed a little adjustment, and some new clamps I found. Then and now...

Came home from work last night and pulled the tarp off the garage. The roofers are coming today to prep it, which means laying down the ice and water shield and the synthetic tar paper to make it rain proof, shingles and ridge vent probably on Sunday.

Another positive reason to carry a fishing setup in your truck all year long.

    Looks like you caught dinner.

    Nice clean looking bike, Mike.

Made it back from Michigan without any problems. Stopped at a butcher shop in Ohio on the way back only added an hour onto the trip time. Bought a Bison Ribeye to try out. I have never had bison before. All total spent almost $200 on meats and some BBQ Rubs. Going to be a great fall and a different flavor to a smoked turkey for Thanksgiving.

    Nice Mike!

How would you compare the 2 stroke vs 4 stroke?
When I had my 150 Opti, I always thought the 2 stroke had a better power band plus lighter in weight to a comparable 150 4 stroke.

I copied this from another thread I made

His boat is three years old.
    Mine is 26.
    His is a 40hp 3 cyl 4 stroke EFI
    Mine is a 40hp 4 cyl 2 stroke CARB
    Mine is flat bottom
    His has a slight v
    Mine is 17 feet long
    His is 16 feet long
Mine does 33mph with 2 people, lunch, and enough tackle and rods
    To supply 5 boats.
His does 35mph (which is 2mph faster than he could do) with me driving
And 2 rods and 2 lures..
If I strip my boat I’d be faster.
If he said I’d trade I’d decline. There is no rod locker. No forward storage ,
No place for tackle per say, no place for a cooler..
The motor does run very well however, I don’t need a computer to fix mine..

4 stroke does seem to have more low end grunt (which is not surprising)

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porchies! Hump Day indeed! Going to finish placing that wood rack, then LBR gets my attention today.

Sounds like an interesting stop Tom. I've had Bison a couple times, and it has a wonderful taste - but very lean! Interested to know what flavor you're concocting for the turkey! Ours are just apple wood smoked; little George Hamiltons!

Hey, Mark, still out for a walk?

Good Morning fellow Porchies and gals,

My wife and I have a flight credit to Orlando fl. What would you do as seniors in Orlando Fl in Feb 2022. We were scheduled for a cruise out of Port Canaveral in Jan2021. That got moved to Nov. 2021. That got moved to Jan. 2022. Which got moved to Jan. 2023. We finally said enough is enough annd got our full refund back. The problem is I had booked a flight and those aree non transferable or non refundable. We have to find something to do in Fl in Feb. besides amusment parks. Something where we can just chill out and relax. We are open to ideas. Thanks all and have a healthy, wealthy and safe day.

Rent a car and run down to the Keys. Beach bars and walking the sand. Bikini gazing, drink in hand. Check out a touristy tour of the Everglades.

Seconding the suggestion. You can rent Mustang convertibles pretty easily, or at least it seemed that way when we did that run a couple of years ago. (We took our own convertible, via the Auto Train.) The drive out isn't all that great, pretty built up until you get really far out. Key West is very cool though. We drove pretty much straight south, although we intentionally stayed off interstates. On the way back north we hooked west across "alligator alley" and then came up the western side of the state. Then east back to our departing point. Spent about 2 weeks but you could comfortably do it in less.
