Only for Grade 8 bolts. Anything bolt less than Gr8 will break off or need a torch to remove.

Unfortunately, that could be construed as a trap if the thief claims injury to become a victim of eye injury.

I'd would suggest to shift the high strength pepper spray (ie bear spray) to something extremly odoriferous like a skunk. Won't injure, but the thief will easily be sniffed out.

How bout the liquid from those stink bombs use to be able to get at fairs along with the dye used by banks in dye packs. Make em stink and turn em purple.
Though, I wouldn't say it would be a trap. Because you are not encouraging someone to commit the crime and you are also not setting it up to where anyone other than someone commiting the crime is targeted.

Add a sign under the truck near the CATs that says, " Warning: Protected by Anti-Theft Device" with a pictogram of a purple skunk spraying.

    A bunch..and no build thread!
I think the Talons plate looks bad ass. But in their picture, it looks like it sits under another shroud.

Seems like the best idea. I like that no drilling into frame !, I'll look into that and see if they ship to Alberta Canada.

Too bad the coppers won't just say, "He got what he deserved.", and leave it alone from there. That would send a message.

No reason to shoot a thief over a CAT. Seems like a gang related shooting.

Well, perhaps if it happened there would be fewer cats stolen.

Hey, at least there was a black Tacoma in the story! Pics of the black Tacoma begin at the 0:47 mark! What do you think of the mods?

I still think I'll go with something passive like a cover or modified piece of armor. After all, guns are expensive and court appearances are time sucks and killing people isn't my jam anymore.

Well, name one person that committed a crime after they were executed. I’d say it’s 100% effective in reducing crime for that particular criminal. And if thieves knew there was a better than even chance of not surviving they might look for a different line of work.

In this instance, the best thing to do isn't to scream. It's to stay quiet. While they're under the car/truck, sneak up and give them a swift kick to the nuts. Then just say, "I didn't see you under there. What are you doing?".

Well how about saying ' stop i have a gun' and not just shooting them first?

Lots of the locals have some pretty impressive hydraulic systems on their cars. Of course their cats are mostly pre cat.

Still with such a set up you could just about ground the car or with the push of a button…. Don’t want to offend the sensitive.

I disagree... If I catch somebody in the act of stealing my cat they should expect to be confronted by a loaded weapon... and if they don't obey my instructions while waiting for the police to arrive they can expect repercussions.

The entire reason these guys are doing this is because they have no consequences. We are training people to be thieves.
