STILL DRY FOR MOST TODAY: Most of Alabama will stay dry today, although a few showers are possible over the southwest corner of the state this afternoon. With a partly sunny sky, look for a high in the 76-79 degree range. Clouds will increase tonight ahead of a cold front, and showers are possible statewide after midnight. Then, during the day tomorrow, the sky will be mostly cloudy with a few passing showers likely. This won’t be an all-day kind of rain, and amounts should be fairly light (under 1/2 inch). Maybe a rumble of thunder, but no risk of severe thunderstorms. Tomorrow’s high will be in the mid 70s.

Showers will end tomorrow night, and a new surge of dry air moves into the state Friday. Friday will feature a good supply sunshine with a high between 72 and 76 degrees.

THE ALABAMA WEEKEND: Dry weather continues with mostly sunny afternoons and fair, cool nights. Highs will be in the mid to upper 70s Saturday, and close to 80 degrees Sunday afternoon. Lows will be mostly in the 50s.

NEXT WEEK: Dry weather continue Monday. A few isolated showers are possible over North Alabama Tuesday, but the better chance of rain statewide will come later in the week, late Wednesday or Thursday, with another cold front. Cooler, drier air should follow by Friday… See the Weather Xtreme video for maps, graphics, and more details.

TROPICS: The Atlantic basin remains very quiet, and tropical storm formation is not expected through the weekend.

FOOTBALL WEATHER: For the high school games Friday night, the sky will be clear with temperatures falling through the 60s.

    For the college games Saturday…

CHATTANOOGA AT SAMFORD (12:00p CT kickoff at Seibert Stadium): Dry and mild with a mostly sunny sky… temperatures will be in the mid 70s.

JACKSONVILLE STATE AT SAM HOUSTON STATE (2:00p CT kickoff in Huntsville, Texas): It will be sunny day; expect a temperature near 76 at kickoff, falling back into the low 70s by the final whistle.

RICE AT UAB (2:30p CT kickoff at Protective Stadium): The sky will be mostly sunny with a kickoff temperature near 77 degrees, falling into the low 70s by the fourth quarter.

DELTA STATE AT WEST ALABAMA (4:00p CT kickoff at Tiger Stadium): The sky will be mostly clear. About 80 degrees at kickoff, low 70s by the final whistle.

TENNESSEE AT ALABAMA (6:00p kickoff at Bryant-Denny Stadium): We expect a clear sky with temperatures falling from near 75 at kickoff, into the mid 60s by the final whistle.

SOUTH ALABAMA AT LOUISIANA-MONROE (6:00p CT kickoff in Monroe, LA): Expect a clear sky… temperatures will fall from 82 at kickoff, then through the 70s during the game.

ON THIS DATE IN 1983: Remnants of Pacific Hurricane Tico caused extensive flooding in central and south central Oklahoma. Oklahoma City set daily rainfall records with 1.45 inch on the 19th, and 6.28 inches on the 20th.

I don't think they really care, they are all on another forum now and only post in here to talk to the ones that haven't went to the new forum yet. I really hate to see the way this forum has died down it was a booming place for a long time.

Pretty much that. Come here, crap the place up, and then run off to their safe space. "Bro did you see how I totally did the thing I wasn't supposed to? I showed them so hard!"

    It's repetitive and predictable. :pccoffee:

What is this "Bro did you see how I totally did the thing I wasn't supposed to? I showed them so hard!" ?

I think it has some to do with the way some of the Mods come in with a bad attitude or making sarcastic comments too. A manager should act professionally at all times and not be arrogant and condescending, that never helps an situation.

^^^This. The problem I've noticed, in this thread particularly, was the lack of transparency. Mods started banning and deleting comments, but wouldn't say why or how it violated the rules. It seemed as if they were basing their decisions strictly off their own feelings. And nobody gives a damn about folks' feelings on the internet.

I was was referring to all Mods as managers, isn't managing what you all do? Some are professional and some are arrogant and condescending. I don't see where I ask to speak with a certain one. I was only letting you know what I see as being a problem from my view. I know they are rules and I try to follow them but just because someone breaks them doesn't give someone a right to be arrogant and condescending that only makes things worse in my opinion.

Just out of curiosity, how much more transparency does one need when politics has been absolutely forbidden on TW for many years...its a known thing...its posted all over the site...

    No politics means no politics

I'm not on their other forum(s) but go ahead and log on. I'm sure there's an ongoing conversation about how e-badass they are and how awful we mods are to be enforcing the rules that should not apply to them.

If this forum was so terrible they wouldn't bother coming back. :notsure:

So then how come certain mods get passes??? Look we've all seen certain things slide and others not. You can't tell me there isn't some bias. I've also seen mods let their egos get to their heads and ban long standing members for calling a spade a spade because they didn't like that. If posting a pic of a Nascar driver is now political speak I guess the ban hammer needs to be strong in the NASCAR thread.

When mods talk trash make snide ass comments etc in the memorial thread it isn't really going by the code of conduct either is it by being welcoming. Seems a little hostile towards those that get banned and not very welcoming.
