I have to use the feet powders with talc occasionally and wash my tennis shoes. Shit sucks when you have issues in the other direction

My grandfather owned a carpet store most of his life and would always tell us to keep our shoes or socks on in the house, as long as we used the floor mat before coming in. According to him, the oils on your skin/feet are way worse for carpet over the years than shoes are. And much harder to clean than dirt from shoes. Its a misconception that shoes off means cleaner carpet, in the long term anyway.

that actually does make sense. Kind of like the shine/oiliness dogs and cats get from petting them; along with not being allowed to touch mineral growths such as stalactites due to the oil. Shampooing would be the only way to pull it out

My MIL literally just told me that now cause I'm heading out for a full body massage.

Only reason why I don't go is my one toe nail looks like it has fungus :(

The rest are all fine; just really embarrassing.

Wouldn't know what to get to ensure I got rid of it.

They're used to this stuff and they have stuff to help. I don't have toe fungus but I can sure as hell guarantee my 84 year old grandpa does and he went and those ladies got him fixed right up

Well shit that makes me feel a hell of a lot better.

Even though I should listen to others (you and my MIL included), it's hard to push myself lol

She tells me unless my toes were falling off, she can bet those ladies have seen far worse.

He loves telling the story how he got into that business - he was a barber after he got out of the Marines in the 50s, one of his regular clients would come in that owned the carpet store. This guy tells my grandfather to flip a coin, so he does. He wins, the guy tells him to give him $50 and he can partner with him on the store. 10 years later he retired and my grandfather owned it until he sold it some 25ish years ago, was a really good business in their small town.

I need to find someone that will let me in on a good opportunity for a coin flip and 50 bucks
