    Good morning.
You know you're retired if you have to ask what day it is.
Y'all be safe out there. Pioneer Woman is on and I'm going to fire up the grill.

Actually getting my finances in order for the financial planner.

    Retirement is looming.

Soon hope to have a dumb-ass smile on my face, holding a fish.

Getting some grass cut yesterday and today down to weed eating now trying to get caught back up. One of the rescue board members has us a fishing trip chartered Saturday out of Georgetown. As much as I fish I’ve never been out on a trip like this where it’s us and a two or three man crew. Weather is looking promising so hopefully we wear them out whatever it is we’re fishing for.
^^ I’ll get you one of those dumb-ass smile pictures Andy!

Very nice! I have a Marlin 336A 30/30 with the 24” Barrel…First gun I ever purchased. $176.00 at our local shooter supply. But I always wanted the 45-70. Though I will admit I also considered the 308 express as well.

I felt like I got a decent amount of stuff accomplished today, I haven't had enough of those days lately. I spent most of the day removing old window trim and insulating around the windows jam area and between the jams and framing.. who ever installed the cheap vinyl windows before I owned the house didn't do a good job.. I'm being too nice- the install is horrible by any standard but I'm not pulling out every window to re-hang, so if I can just stop the drafts I will be ok with that for now. The lawn got cut with a new(er) riding mower that I got from an estate sale across the street from me about 3 months ago. It's been a good bit of tinkering to get it running right and it took 2 stops to work out the final bug with the fuel system, but it finally cut going across the hill ( side hilling ?) without sputtering. It's the little victories sometimes...

Ah, my Marlin is a .357 to match my hunt carry single action .357 quick-draw Ruger... Always wanted the Henry the octagon barrel, Buffalo gun, 44-40 I think...

I like that Marlin lever, reminds me of the "Rifleman" gun, maybe not as big of hoop..

There were actually about 5 helicopters there. It was a charity event being held by local law enforcement so they brought out their flying toys.
We really are thinking about flying out at Christmas but we need to find a new cat sitter.
Ya think?!? We were getting a bit nervous.

A lot of the members aren’t happy and are talking about voting no. They (the younger ones) want to change the industry and work 12 on and 12 off. That just doesn’t happen…as I’m sure you know.

I guess we will see in a few weeks.

    How are things?
