CAI or SRI

so i want to get a k&n intake but dont know which i should get.
a cold air intake
or a short ram intake
so what do you guys recommend

 

for your truck do the deckplate mod

 

Pretty much every "intake" for tacomas are SRI. A true cold air intake will go behind the bumper, grill, anywhere outside of the engine bay.

 

Does anyone on here have the URD True Cold Air Intake. I was looking at it online yesterday and it actually seems like pretty good option for a true cold airtake.

Are the expensive MAF Sensor Calibrator and Innovate LM-2 nessacary. I see that what the MAF senseor does, but what is the Innovate LM-2 for? I'm not too familar with either option, but be good to know if people on here would recommend them.

 

pretty sure the Innovate is a wideband... You dont need one for a intake.

 

do the deck plate mod and install a good high flow filter.............alot cheaper than a cai....and better yields too.

 

deck plate mod? haven't heard of that

 

its an airbox mod.........really only works on the first gen tacomas.

 

x2 do the deckplate....its like 10 bucks and takes about 25 min.

 

your truck comes stock with a CAI so dont bother.

 

did the deckplate wont need anything more

 

best $12 i've ever spent. did you tape off the 2 silencers to make even louder as well?

 

short ram but i would go with the dry filter unless you want to clean you maf sensor regularly
