how long will my XM sat radio work for?

    i bought my truck back in september of 2009 and i still have the xm for free. i think they forgot to turn it off :)

    but i think it was only supposed to be for 3 months.

    If you enjoy it, add it then call to cancel... On my wifes Audi, we never paid over $5 a month. They were always extending the deals.

    yup :)

    when i bought the truck, it was the first 2010 that the dealer got and it was only on their lot for 10 hours before i drove it off. i dont think they had a chance to enter it all in the system and i bet they overlooked the XM. from an XM perspective, i bet they still think the truck is on the lot. i have never received any offers in the mail. i am going to keep my mouth shut and see how long it lasts :)

    I had mine for 90 days them xm contacted me and offered me 6 months for $30! I jumped on it. I love it!

    is there a way to use the steering wheel controls to change the stations on xm? or do you have to use the knob? it seems when i use the steering wheel controls it changes it to like fm am ect

    yes, but you have to set the preset channels for it to work. setting the presets on the XM radio is the same as you would for the FM radio. tune to the station you want and hold down a preset number (1-6). the channel up and down buttons on the steering wheel will now control the XM presets. it wont switch from the group of presets (you get 3 groups of 6 channels), but at least you can change the channel on each preset grouping.
