Bought a piano case Monday night for my SBR/travel pack and got it setup this evening.
Pretty happy with being able to fit 7 AR mags, 4 pistol mags, suppressor, and pistol into the case.

I consider myself a glock guy, but the 365x is a little smaller and holds an extra 2 rds.

My edc is currently a glock 27, but I’ve been looking pretty hard at the Hellcat lately… Especially with the cost of .40 now and advances in 9mm ballistics/expansion.

I picked up a cheap blem PSA 8.5” 300 blackout upper last month with the intent of jumping down the suppressor rabbit hole.

Doing a little research and have pretty much narrowed it down to a SilencerCo. Omega 300 or a Dead Air Sandman S. They’d be used on the 300w/subs primarily and maybe a little on my 10.5” 5.56/223.

I like the Dead Air keymo system better than the SilencerCo ASR mount, but I found out SilencerCo. offers their SPEQ pricing to firefighters/first responders and can save me a couple hundred bucks.

Anybody have side x side comparisons of the two?

    Or recommend something else?

And also I’m lefty, so trying to avoid an absurd amount of gas blowback to the face.

See if you can find a place to rent/borrow them both. I honestly like the P365XL a little better but almost all of my handguns are Glock and I didn't want to mess with trigger muscle memory. Wound up with a G48.

25 years ago I had an ambidextrous belt holster with a zelcro strap for a closure, a Ruger 22/45 with a 5-1/2” barrel would fit in it perfectly. I’ve google searched multiple times and can’t find anything like it. Does anyone know of a similar style holster? I do not want one with the button snaps on the strap.

edit: like this, but not an ankle holster

So after buying my Taurus G2C last February, I was finally able to get out and shoot a few boxes of range ammo. I’m a bit low and left, but still on target. Don’t mind those wayward holes…..umm…. the target came like that.

For my concealed carry I carry a Glock 43x MOS or a 43. I really recommend them if you can get your hands on one of them.

43x with Shield Arms mags. This will take you up to 15 rounds in mag, and with no more extension from mag well than stock. Just make sure you upgrade the release from them at same time.

Looks like your hostage took one right to the crotch, among various other places....
"All right, pop quiz. Airport, gunman with one hostage. He's using her for cover; he's almost to a plane. You're a hundred feet away... Jack?"

Looking for recommendations on a new handgun.

Looking for something with the following:
    • +/- 4" threaded barrel
    • 9mm
    • Optics ready
    • affordable

I really like the M&P 2.0 compact, but you can get that with a threaded barrel OR an optics ready slide (but not both). I've seen a couple other options, but rather than list them, I'd like to see what y'all recommend.

I hate the folding S&W triggers, and it never fails that the first thing someone does after buying an M&P is replace it with an Apex.

And by affordable, what does that mean to you? Personally, I'd go with a Glock 17/19 MOS with a threaded barrel, or buy a Lone Wolf threaded barrel if it didn't have the OEM one.

Get teh Optics ready slide one and then buy and aftermarket threaded barrel for it. Boom, problem solved.

This. I run KKM barrels in 3 of my Glocks and am very happy with them. They do have a pretty good lead time right now though.

The affordable is very subjective. For ease of recommendations, I don't want to spend over $1k. The M&P compact is about $500 at the LGS.

I did replace the trigger on my shield with a Hyve Technologies trigger and it has been a big improvement. I've also shot a 2.0 that a buddy has and it felt much better too. So I think the OEM trigger on the M&P 2.0 should be fine.

S&W doesn't sell just the threaded barrel that I can find anywhere. I did find this Sprinta one, but I've never heard of that brand. https://www.spintaprecision.com/smi...-stainless-steel-barrel-threaded-1-2x28-sale/ The price is good, but I don't want to skimp on quality.

Quick google search shows apex and faxon both make one. And Spinta is a good brand.

I bought KKM because when I worked at the shop a lot of our customers who competed ran them. I don't compete but have never had an issue out of any of my 3. After shooting it in my G19 I even replaced the Silencerco threaded barrel in my G21 with KKM. Also running one in a G30S.
