I didn't mind the shackles and I'm not going to remove them because some rando on the internet doesn't like it lol, if you were to try and please every single person on this earth you would never be happy. I enjoy my truck, and at the end of the day it is my truck so that's all that matter :)

    pinstripes. lots of pinstripes.
Just a counterpoint for functionality - by keeping the shackles in a bag of recovery gear, you eliminate possible corrosion that would seize them up and possibly make them unusable for an actual recovery situation. You'd also eliminate the possibility of theft, them rattling loose and falling out while you're driving, or tearing up the finish on the bumper. If you crank down on them to make sure they don't fall out, just keep in mind they're only meant to be threaded hand tight so you can attach them to slings or straps with ease. It's frustrating coming across one that makes me go get tools to loosen while I'm trying to lift something.

youre lucky OP. My hooke bumper has been a nightmare. Wont fit with my UHAUL hitch. and an OEM hitch setup is $800 plus for parts I am being told. Its been a headache for me ! Trying to find a bumper that will work for me, and no answers in sight.

Front, side, AND rear damage multipliers. Impressive! The fake badges say off road, but the "armor" says I'm coming back with 8 grand in body damage from a fire service road.
