Awesome - small world. Our biggest claim to fame was screening Tiger Brigade's front and flanks in Kuwait.

Loved the 20mm guns on those Cobras. The Hellfires were far superior to the TOWs we were slinging.

I was with 2nd LAI on a TOW vehicle. Deployed as LAR to Somalia in 93 (We were first ever LAR unit)

If you really want to feel your age, go to a Marine Corps ball and start telling Gulf stories.

Lol, I was Army Reserve back in those days and was a combat engineer. When they called us up it was basically for minefield clearing! WTF?!! I built bridges, not cleared minefields! Not day one about mines in any of our training!

Cool, Being a winger I would be bottom of the list on stories to tell, was on the USS Tripoli, our Cobras would escort the Navy mine sweepers, clear mines for the USS Missouri and Wisconsin to unleash their Tomahawks.
We did get locked on by a silkworm, had to move fleet and hit a mine cluster which messed the ship up pretty good.

Most of the younger Marines I talk to have multiple deployments in Iraq or Afghanistan

Yeah not only that but they deployed for much longer periods as well. That’s my theory as to why PTSD rates are so much higher than in the past.

Thank you sir... I originally had it made by Cboy808 on this forum, but then wanted to change it up a bit so I just had a local wrap shop redesign it slightly, and also install the hood vinyl wrap. Semper Fi to you as well!

Funny how life works out. When I was in I was bitching half the time, and then I get out and end up slapping a decal on the side of my truck.

Yep the sense of community is what I miss and couldn't appreciate till after I got out.

Are you planning on doing a build on yours?

Very cool. If I had to do it over again, I probably would have ordered the SE and not the HD. I've never come close to putting more than 400lbs on the cover, and would have appreciated the cheaper price and lighter weight. If you have plans to put quads or something up there, disregard.

Hit me up if you make it out this way - we can grab some dinner with the wives and tell some war stories

Well if this is how you start out, I'd like to see once you get the hang of it!

I like everything about this rig. It's one of thoughs times when you say "Yeah, like that"! Inspiring! Thanks for sharing.

You know, it's odd... Sometimes I see something like this, and it is like 20 different things I am not a big fan of personally. But put all 20 together, and it turns out really nice! Nice truck

Thanks...I get it. It could be a bit much for some and I've probably exceeded that point of tastefulness with the number of mods I've done, but at the end of the day, I still turn around and look back at my truck every time I stop and park somewhere, which brings me joy in spite of these crazy fucked up times we're living in these days.

It all works well together. And don’t take me wrong, it doesn’t look like you robbed a Pep Boys or anything  Everything seems well done.
