Got the windshield replaced this morning by Jeremy at Westminster Auto Glass. Great guy, nice to do business with. OEM Pilkington glass and recalibrate the collision avoidance system, $625 out the door.

Me too. Just for comparison.. Safelite wanted $939 + a $322 adder for OEM glass.

Nice I'm gonna need to replace my windshield again too. The safellite one has 3 chips in it from driving to DE and back for work years ago. Never cracked though so I never bothered to replace it until I got the new wipers to install before winter.

The extended ubolts are on their way to plating so hopefully they will ship out soon. Anyone want to help swap leaf spring packs in my driveway? I'd rather not pay for an install if it could be helped. I got access to air tools and floor jacks. Complete swap of stock packs with a Wheelers 2" AAL and stock bushings and Ubolts for Deaver Expedition Stage 3s with new bushings and extended Ubolts.

Let's hope its more staffed than Glen Burnie poor dude was stuck alone on register with a pickup, an order cancelation, lady waiting to drop off and a dude that said fuck it and left all while the phone is ringing off the hook and a manager had the nerve to ask him to pull a car around for service lol.

Hi I'm Wes. I'm in Frederick and could lend a hand, haven't done the job but am mechanically inclined. I mostly wanna help and see how it's done for when I wanna do something to my setup. I've sat under the truck and looked at the rear suspension if that's a prerequisite.

It can be done solo. Suggest getting a ratchet strap, (~2 inch webbing), to position the axle back under the truck.

Its a pretty large weight difference between the oem and after market packs. An extra set of hands definitely helps. Gotta be really careful getting those into place and not letting it rest on the e brake cable.

When are you thinking about swapping the leaf springs? I did mine by myself last year in my driveway, it only took a few hours using a battery impact and hand tools. I can help.

More hands make light work. We could make a mod day out of it if anyone else wants to come out.

I'll let you know as soon as I get the ubolts and we can work out the schedule. Would love to get them on before it becomes freezing out.

That sounds good.. I have been eyeing lower rated springs. Maybe I’ll have a set by that time. I’ll be trying to use the weight of the truck again and hope I get lucky unlike last time.
Or maybe the slider weight will really help out (not that I expect a difference since it’s not weight at the front).

Is there anyone going to the Toyota Shakedown up at AOAA this weekend. If so there are a few of us meeting up in Hunt Valley tomorrow morning at 10am to head up.

Yea I have SPC uppers to go on as well, I'm trying to get the king 2.5s before I do the uppers but they are all sorts of backlogged so will probably do it twice once for the uppers and once again for the coilovers when they come in.
