    my garage door was acting all kinds of funny. Trolley sticking on the stop nut, figured out how to release it , tightened chain but couldn’t set the limits. I had a feeling it was this part after some calls and research. Couldn’t physically fix it myself. Ended up call a door place and they fixed it for $160 . $120 per hour plus parts . Brand new now. Just wish I did it myself.

    50% markup on parts

    had the housing of that part crack on mine and the flex it allowed had my door trying to crush itself . Service guy came and showed me the damage and the part was gonna need to be ordered . I was about to leave for vacation and had a non functional door . So I grabbed some sheet metal I had, knocked out some sandwich plates with all appropriate holes needed to encapsulate the housing , pop riveted it all together , handed it to old boy and said toss it in and tune it up . Dude was laughing the entire time but it worked like a champ afterwards .
