That's certainly a bit raspier than mine is.

 

Sounds very "rally car." Crazy how low the 2TR is. My friend's is similarly as loud. With two mufflers. Turbo will quiet that down.

Why does the CEL blink?

 

She's definitely loud. But I think once you bring that volume down some the exhaust note will mellow out too.

yeah I was surprised how raspy it is too. I was expecting the resonator to help with that but I guess I should’ve know better haha

It does sound kinda racey lol! And yeah surprising low tone for a 4 banger. I’m hoping the turbo helps, I really want the exhaust to be quiet so I can enjoy the whistle

the cel blinks because when I bang it off the limiter the MAPECU3 pulls spark to limit rpm and the OEM ecu sees it as a misfire

 

Progress on the driver side tail pipe. Got a 1.5ish inch extension welded in, turned the piping, welded that in, and then fitted the muffler and got that welded as well. Started fitment for the tail pipe and it started getting dark so I’ll finish that up and do the hanger tomorrow. The other borla 40364 muffler should be here Thursday for the passenger side. In the meantime, the AWD taco will be back on daily driver duty

 

It definitely screams, but i think you're right, once the volume level comes down, the tone should improve some. It was pretty good with my old catback and 3 mufflers. I am hoping the resonator and three mufflers will end up being something i can live with. And thank you good sir!!

Mannnn I wish, I am working the 8-5 job right now. Driver side is getting finished tonight though so I can daily the truck again tmrw. I’ll post some pics once I have it wrapped up

 

Alright got it wrapped up today, had to weld an extension on the bend I was going to use for the tail pipe that came off the muffler. Fit all that up and then finally got the hanger put on, which was the most difficult part. Gonna daily it tomorrow and see how the noise level is but it’s weird there’s a lot more noise coming from the passenger tailpipe now lol. Need a piece of stainless for a hanger and then I will work on redoing the other side

Those mufflers are not directional are they?

 

That's just the path i took using the bends from the old piping. I am going to have to match the other side when i rework that one. And no sir, these are not directional, any which way will work

Got the passenger side started and ran out of gas. So I mocked it up with tape and I’m gonna go get some more tmrw morning. This side was quite a challenge to get it to match. I think I got it pretty close
