what's a good asking price for a mt. shasta? one of the skylight zippers is messed up (read: just keep it closed unless you're are in for a fight) and you have to be delicate with the screen zipper on the entry. Otherwise it's in good to VG condition. The annex was never used.

Always curious about the "how" with these. One of my neighbor's had their highlander stolen recently. Turns out they had left the key in the center consol. Guess I'm curious if people are getting their fobs hacked or if it's something else.

Don't you just tug under the dash and spark the blue and red together?

I hate car thieves with a passion. Had my Integra stolen in my younger years and that hit hard. I was only making $150 a check at the grocery store hehe.

Hope your bud gets it back no damage. It's bad enough we have to worry about break-ins, now completely stolen rigs? Geez.

It’s not a bad idea to keep your keys in an RFID bag. What sometimes happens is thieves use a device to look for the key, amplify the signal and drive away. These scammer tools are pretty good at triggering the keys meaning scan the key then come back later.

That’s a good idea! I know people have been using those for boats, kayaks, trailers, etc. A cheap insurance policy forsure.

Yeah I'm just curious if that's actually what happened or if it was more of the human error/unfortunate luck type. I had another buddy whose ~2015 Ram got stolen in the city. Turns out it was some kids trying door handles, his wasn't locked, and his spare key was in the glove box. :facepalm:They went around for a cruise playing demolition derby with trash cans.

I'm 100% not rationalizing that it's okay to steal, but sometimes I'm just like.... o_O

Usually, you cannot lock the doors if the system thinks the key is inside.

Hey just throwing it out there, fluke sequence of events left me without a job. Anyone aware of any place hiring? I live in placerville but will commute down 50 to Cameron Park, edh, folsom or even rancho if someone knows of something. I'm free for 5 or so months before I can get my old gig. I have a resume if you need, can pass any drug test and have an AM1 tank/hazmat endorsement. I'm not apose to labor and can interview whenever.
