I just don’t understand why a prop gun would even be capable of shooting

Or why live ammunition was on set

or how it’s happened twice apparently

Well being too close is an obvious one; all that energy expelled from the barrel is enough to kill someone at close range.

I don't know about the recent incident, but when Brandon Lee got killed on the movie set he got shot with a .44 cal slug out of a prop gun that was supposed to be loaded with blanks.

What's weird about the recent incident is that the director of photography got killed. Why was a main actor pointing a prop gun at a crew member on a movie set?
When Brandon Lee got killed, he was filming a scene where he was getting shot at. Awful and tragic as it was, the circumstances around the one that happened today are particularly odd.

Correct me if im wrong, but I'm not seeing any zerks? First pics are the tail end of shaft and later ones are the mid piece by carrier bearing. CB is still tight. Are 5 lugs different?

Someone elsewhere mentioned that maybe they were shooting a scene where the camera is being shot at, and she was running the camera.

As many guns as are used in film, you’d think this would be safe by now. Maybe someone got complacent.

Think I might have tracked down the reason the land cruiser is clunking over bumps, pretty sure I ripped a sway bar mount off the front axle. At least I can reproduce that and weld it on.
