It's a Traverse, the Equinox big brother. I think the Equinox issues were more for the 2.4l engine not the 3.6L v6.

It's got over 110k on the clock, no engine issues at all but the interior is starting to show it's age. Other than cosmetic that it's been very reliable, comfortable on the road and can hold a lot of gear inside as the family freeway hauler. We have no need for the 3rd row seating anymore and since we're over 100k on a Chevy I know I'm dancing with the devil now so time for it to go. I just need to convince the wife to go back to car payments again, we've been car payment free the last couple of years but now is not the time to buy.

I had the repair done about 2 years ago when the technical letter came out. They upgraded the light and gasket, and have had no other leaks or problems. Got a call last week about the recall, and they said they still wanted to see it to "clear the recall from my VIN". good thing they did, because upon inspection by the service writer, they discovered black mold growing underneath the carpet. Solution is to completely remove all interior parts, have Serv-Pro mitigate all they can, and replace all components that cant be repaired. Process is to take 2-3 weeks, and a loaner car was provided. I'll keep yall posted.

I called today for a status on what's going to be replaced. I'm getting new carpet and insulation for the pan but the seats and the rest of the interior will be retained. Serv-Pro will treat it tomorrow, then seal it up over the weekend, Monday air samples will be taken to ensure there are no more spores or contaminates. Once Serv-Pro clears the truck the interior is reinstalled and another sample is taken. When cleared I'll get the truck back. If I get it back next Friday it will have been three weeks.

They gave you a loaner car, right? Three weeks would be a long time to have to bum rides…..LOL

I just had my recall work performed a few days ago (on my 2016). No leak found, so they just did the repairs and I was done.

It looks different now, but I didn't take any pictures and I don't really remember what it looked like before. Does anyone know if there are cosmetic differences? Or is it just shiny and new and that's what's making me think it looks different?

Anyone have the work done with a camper on the back? I have a GFC and taking it off will be a pain in the ass. Havent noticed any leaks so far.

Trying to find the right time for me to do this leak recall since I have a bed rack and an RTT in the back. Toyota said they won’t take off the rack for me. Have bad shoulders so I’ll wait till I know my RLD is about to be installed and probably hire someone to take off the bed rack.

Just be careful if it rains/car washes. All kidding aside, just be careful so you don’t get in the black mold boat with guys like me…..

My 2016 goes in this morning. Never noticed a leak or any odors from moisture though. Better safe than sorry!

Because in California, DMV is notified on recalls, and when it comes time to renew your license plate, if your vehicle has not had all recalls done, then you cannot renew your plate. This is in California; I don't know about other states. Yes, big brother is watching....

Didn’t even know there was a recall out, went in for an oil change and they said there was one. Took an extra 30min and they sealed it up

I got a letter in the mail from Toyota. I hope to have my truck back by the end of the week.

There’s no telling, they might have to total the truck. Some lights can’t be sealed

The holdup has been Serv-pro treating for mold. Truck has already been stripped, treated and now this week the interior will be reinstalled and a 2nd aircheck for spores. I'm told to expect it back either Wed or Friday depending on the 2nd test.

That sucks, hopefully they don’t have any snags on that. I can only imagine how frustrating it’s I, did they give you a loaner in the meantime?

Wow, my appointment is tomorrow. I have some staining -- hopefully no mold but I'll definitely ask them to check.

Good thing it doesn't rain here in So. Cal. . .
