Thank god I never went that far, theory is fine and dandy but calculating the black-shoals model was enough to almost kill me

 

The courses that I hated was Economics and Organic Chemistry.

Never even kept my textbooks or notes on those. Gave away the textbooks for free as I felt anyone forced to take those courses was already paying enough having to sit through those lectures.

i mean why not?
bust the drill out, pop in a few rock anchor bolts, add a D ring at the one end and instant recovery point on the Canadian shield!
Take a page right out of the rock climbing book.

 

or the Donut media book.

 

If I've learned anything from modern epoxies, I bet the drill can be skipped and just glue a steel plate directly to the surface.

Too much prep work would be required I suspect - need the rock face to be perfectly flat and clean.
