Installed these Energy Suspension front bumps, less expensive than other brands but I guess time will tell if they last or are worth it.20211020_161144.jpg

I done derped it. We’ll see how long the Plasti-dip holds on the chrome.. I’m skeptical, but I wanted to see how she looks before buying a black bumper, or getting the TacomaBeast covers.

I seent it. I like it.

Little bit of this and that
I need to get on this, thinking about derping the shell too as a temp fix until I can get it color matched next year.

I have an IceCo and I love it. They use the same compressor as a Dometic and have a good warranty. I have no complaints about it at all. I also run mine all the time at home as a beer fridge when its not in my truck. Probably been running for over 200 days this last year.

Just got my brute force HC rear in and all local powder coat shops are 2+ months out. What is everyone coating their bumpers with? I live in NY so salt/rust is a concern. I was thinking Rustoleum professional, but I don't want to have to paint it every year.

I justified the price of buying an Engel cooler (Yeti's are for frat party butts) just for 1 summer of buying ice lol
I also bought those Engel ice packs and holy shit my beer almost freezes. 7 days later and the beer is ice cold

One entire can covered it decently. In retrospect I would have probably removed the entire bumper, and not just the chrome shell- it would have been easier to get to the plastic trim clips with the whole thing off, it’s only 4 bolts. But I had no helper to assist in pulling the whole thing off. As it stands, not too hard to do.

Really pissed me off tho that someone must have lost bolts or stripped threads on the corner step pieces of trim, because they were glued on. Idiots.

I think this is the route I’m going to go for sure! Showed the wife yesterday and I think I’ve brought it up enough that she’s just accepted defeat on the situation. Probably get one after the NFL working season is over for me. Thanks for the recommendation!

After last year when we were in Wyoming and having to bounce into town every couple of days for ice my girlfriend got sick of it and bought me one for my bday. Easiest way to run it is to get a Jackery or other battery pack if you don't have a dual battery set up. Only down side is if its cold out and the fridge doesn't draw power for a couple hours the Jackery will shut down so on cold morning I have to make sure to turn it back on.

Finally got around to cleaning my throttle body and MAF, plus an oil change. 156,000 miles of crud in the tb. Went from maybe 1300rpm at idle to ~600rpm. Didn't get a pic of the completely clean backside of the tb but I got before and halfway through. IMG-7130.jpg IMG-7131.jpg IMG-7132.jpg IMG-7133.jpg
