I've done my rear access doors and am ready to do the fronts but I'm concerned how much damage the dealer will do if they ever have to get inside the doors for repairs.....thoughts?

It probably wouldn't be too bad. On mine, they have to either go through the speaker hole or cut the RaamMat around where the access panels are and remove the sheet metal screws. It'd be a simple matter to replace it at those points. I think the only time they'd have to get in there would be for the window motor. You could raammat over the flashing before installing it so it would still function as an access panel. They would have to cut through the ensolite as mine is just one big sheet.

Yeah, pretty much what I thought too. Guess I don't want anyone hacking up all my hard work but you're right ,It wont be too hard to repair.

Has anyone completed the roof or the A-pillars? I've completed everything below the windows and it does make a difference. But I'm wondering how much noise is coming from above???

I will be doing a write-up on insulating the roof (minimal) with RAAMmat later this month or in January (depending on when I can come up with the moneys).

Is it difficult to remove the headliner? Does it just pop right off if you pull in the right places?

I haven't done it yet, but from what I've read, it's only held in place by the pillars and the overhead console. So remove those things and it just falls down.

I've removed the ceiling from the reg cab. It is held up by the a pillars, weather stripping, rear trim panels, visors and visor clips(hold visor- and I had to break them to get them out they don't just pop out), and the clothing hooks in the rear to get them out insert a flat blade screw driver in the top where there is a slot and twist then they fall out. I have raamated the roof and covered with luxury liner pro. There is also a platic honey comb structure that runs around the sides and rear of the roof to give the headliner it's shape and I bought an egg crate foam pad from Wal mart and cut it up to put in the honey combs.

Was there a significant improvement over stock after sound deadening material was applied?

So far I have applied Raamat over the back wall, roof, side walls, and floor. Over that I put either ensolite or luxury liner pro which is a 3/4 inch thick dual constraining layer sound insulator. It is a lot heavier and more effective than ensolite but I have used ensolite in certain areas like on the side walls at the rear of the cab and behind the seat belts. I haven't done the doors yet because I need more raamat and dont' have the money right now. I have experienced a great improvement. I will say to also make sure to do the area where the transmission runs down the cab I"m getting significant noise from this area like on the firewall area so I will try to go back and do these areas.
