I guess you can say I did it, since I was driving it, so...

Earlier today, while I was driving home after cutting a few lawns... FUCKING BAM. Dump truck a bit ahead of me, and even with me in the other lane, a fucking rock kicked up and did this "lovely" crack.

Now I gotta have it replaced, and the horror stories of people who've had theirs replaced and leaks are freaking me the fuck out.

 

Which one? The OEM or the other one?

I’ve had mine replaced by random local shops twice over cracks and it’s been fine. And wasn’t super pricey. No leaks either.

 

Had mine replaced a couple years ago by Safelite, no issues. Would push for oem glass if possible though, that’s the only difference I can tell. The aftermarket glass almost seems to get dirtier easier, inside and out lol. It’s strange but not the end of the world

I thought about pushing for OEM glass TBH. Guess I'll see what happens when I call. Not sure if I need to call my insurance company first, or Safelite. Gonna tackle it Monday. Busy weekend coming up cause of the two little ones.

 

On my taco I called safelite first and they handled the rest. But I just had to do the same a few weeks ago on our Lexus and safelite had us contact insurance first lol. So I’d go with insurance first as that seems like the new way

Cleaned maff, no change, cleaned throttle body, no change, spark plugs, no change, TRD exhaust, no change in mpg but the 25 butt horses are sweeeeet.....

replaced PCV valve and gained 1mpg (4 straight tanks now)
Fuck yes, it’s the little victories guys and gals!
And all for a $5.00 OEM part and less than 10 minutes of my time.

 

Good to know. That’s the one I’ve been looking at. Maybe slightly overkill for most of our excursions, but I’d rather have more juice than not enough.

 

I don't think it's overkill at all. We did a group trip a couple weekends back, I have a small pellet grill I used it to power, powered my fridge, it was cold as fuck and used an electric blanket all night, and used it to charge my phone. By the time it was all said and done I had about 28% charge left

I'm just saying, depending on how you use it, 1000whrs can go pretty quick. Solar helps, but it's not very efficient if there's no sun. Better to be over prepared I say
