I ended up putting them in the same way I pulled them out. I’ve seen a lot of people that just cut them and then put them in backwards.

Finally got around to cleaning my throttle body and MAF, plus an oil change. 156,000 miles of crud in the tb. Went from maybe 1300rpm at idle to ~600rpm. Didn't get a pic of the completely clean backside of the tb but I got before and halfway through.

It’s probably one of the easiest jobs on our trucks, just a couple of bolts and clamps, don’t forget to do the MAF while you’re at it

I was honestly surprised with how easy it was, those bolts popped right out no issues and I did the MAF just didn't get any good pics. It was a good excuse to go buy a new torque wrench.

Go to HD Wes and buy a can of any rust restorer spray. They all work about the same. I used it on my 2017 and it worked.

Hey Nick, welcome to the forum and the best damn thread on it :hattip: Yea, we might be a little more laid back at times than most threads but I like to think of it as the same as missiles in silos. Most of the people in here are really cool too. Post up some pics of your truck when you get a chance.

I have a set of rear leaf packs with an Icon AAL already installed and 700# coils along with Super Bumps and the U Bolt flip kit I would like to install on mine. Unless we can do the coils free hand, I am going to need to use Dave's @68dave spring compressor first, and either drive it with severe Bro Lean to the mod spot or do this all in my driveway.

[collectively as a group] HI WES!!

    Show off. o_O

What if you have 75 hands? At some point not all those people are going to fit near the vehicle Eric. It's just physics.

    Another show off. o_O o_O

    :amen:

    Yea, freezing sucks for sure.

    You're something alright

I saw Toyota has a new TRD UCA in store for the 2022's. I think when the money allows that will be the route I go. Or JBA's again.

    OH! Uh...uhhhhh :pout:

    :frusty:

Easy killer, get a room.

    Aww Poppycock :rimshot:

I've been in this muti-quote so long I forgot what this was so I can't comment :tinfoilhat:

I have some sharpies and liquor. :drunk: Don't tell your Dad though. I know he doesn't like you drinking all the time like you do. :stirthepot:

    Niles! Sup Dawg?

Better than that, if you're really bored I have my fence to finish and will provide cold bottled water and paper towels to anyone that attends, as long as they are here.

Huh! If all the rings were red they would be Mine! I wonder how long paint would hold up............:anonymous:

We got crazy and put the left bolt on the right side and visa versa on minez but I couldn't tell any difference. :notsure:

How do they get the head of the bolt through the hole Eric? I call Bull Shit!

Day-ummm, looks brand new! You're gonna need a parachute!

Well, it’s been some time since we’ve seen one of these masterpieces!

and to answer your questions, you have to melt the head of the bolt for it to work.

“I have a set of rear leaf packs with an Icon AAL already installed and 700# coils along with Super Bumps and the U Bolt flip kit I would like to install on mine. Unless we can do the coils free hand, I am going to need to use Dave's @68dave spring compressor first, and either drive it with severe Bro Lean to the mod spot or do this all in my driveway.”

the superbumps and the flip kit can be done pretty easily, no need to do anything but get under there. I did mine without taking the tires off… was a pain in the ass tightening and torqueing but it can be done.
