Man, im sorry to hear this, that is definitely shitty news. What are the plans? If you’re tearing into the bottom end, you might as well upgrade while you’ve got it all apart

You could just buy my truck and start over… 2015 with 76k miles. For the right price, you can keep the NorCal made wedge camper.

Should I look into solid mounts while the engine is out? MY concern with them is how rough idle will be. This is my daily driver and would like to keep the commute comfortable.

    parts and stuff
id go ahead and tear down now if you can. gives you time to clean parts up that you will reuse. and possible give time to powder coat parts if you wanted to do that. can also give you time to clean up the engine bay if its got dirt and other BS in there or even rust to clean up. then once you are ready to put the engine back together and back in, its a pretty quick process. i had my engine out for 1.5 months before i got the new engine in and everything went together pretty fast once i got it

Seems like everyone with solid mounts says the difference in vibration is minor and the benefits far outweigh the slight vibe increase.

If you want the best performance out of your daily, absolutely. If not, then why did you supercharge it in the first place. The vibrations are very minimal

Bolts. According to my builder, ARP can only have 20% of their staff in the manufacturing facility and they cannot get raw material. All due to Covid. Can I type that word and not get banned?

Builder has sourced bolts from another company that makes military hardware. Apparently they are actually stronger than ARP. To say I’m frustrated is an understatement.
