Volk racing TE 37 on my tacoma

Hi everybody, just picked up a set of 16x8.5 -10 TEs, if I decide to go 265/75R16 will I run into any rubbing on stock OR suspension? I couldn’t seem to find an answer in this thread for -10 offset. Thanks!

 

you’re going to be pretty close but my guess is, yes..it will rub.

265/75R16 = 265/70R17 (31.6”)

for what it’s worth, I had 17x 8.5 - 10 on 265/70R17 with stock OR suspension and it rubbed on steep driveways, even with mud flaps removed.

 

Question...anyone do any wheeling with Volks? I don't wanna be the only idiot who dropped almost $3k on wheels only to go hit up some trails complete with new pinstripes.

Yep. The rock rash and mud is a badge of honor.

 

I haven't but once I get the wheels, I definitely will and even if it does give it some pinstripes, it builds character IMO

 

When you can’t tell what color your wheels are you know it was a good weekend

i get a lot more nervous thrashing on my FNs than i will with the Volks when they get mounted. breaking a wheel at speed is something my nightmares are made of. but not rough looking Volks. this truck is not that kind of diva.

 

Heyyy to the damaged TE crew! Just the small trails at Sedona and around Grand Canyon back in March led to the hard chip and some curb rash on one wheel. Time for a new set.

do you have any pictures of the wheels? also, i'd like to know how these wheels treat you once you put them on. I'm really considering the 16x8.5 -10 now.

i think you meant to quote @Bobatime128 who just picked up the 16x8.5 -10.

I previously had the 17x8.5 -10 but now have 16x8 -20.
