I like the look of the Air raid one. I want to get one of those, when I finally get my new truck!

You should have that looked at.

I sent them an email and within minutes I was taken care of. That’s why they are #1 when it comes to racks AND now snuffles!

Curious about snorkel usage - how deep can a water crossing be before it reaches the stock air box? Do any of you do water crossings deep enough that a snorkel helps?
I realize some say they do it for better air, etc. but mostly curious about water crossings. I’ve seen “Xpedition Overland” shows that were quite entertaining with some pretty deep crossings.

IIRC, the stock airbox's intake is in the front passenger wheel well. If you run sustained at that water level you're gonna have more problems than just the airbox. The alternator is a popular failure point.

FWIW, it helps for swamping or mudding in FL. Water appearing to be shallow will have huge ruts courtesy of our Jeep friends running 37's through the peanut butter mud underneath. The snorkel will give you the time you need to recover or winch out, though your interior may be worse for the wear.

If the snorkel is properly connected to the intake and everything is sealed, I don’t see an issue.

To be clear, I'm not going through any deep water crossings over axle depth. I do have a lot of FSR to travel and that's a lot of dust.

plus I like the look of a snorkel :D

Bump, need a snorkel that'll mount up fine with the s and b, I have a kdmaxx tune for that air box and rather not swap.

I suppose I could just install oem box if whatever snorkel I got didn't mount up with the s and b :notsure:

I have the dobinsons, installation was a pain in the ass. Ended up with a gap between the fender and snorkel that had to get filled with black silicone. Also rubber boot didn't completely sit right so i wrapped it with flex tape or whatever its called. a little piece of the grill on the snorkel head broke off, i don't remember hitting anything but i noticed one day it was broken. My last Tacoma had the arb safari snorkel and that installation was super smooth, and never had any issues with it. In the future when i buy another tacoma I'll be buying the arb snorkel, buy once cry once. I'm starting regret a lot mods i cheaped out on and now it's costing me double replacing it with what i should of bought in the first place
