Morning Taco friends. Was lucky to get a set of FJ Cruiser TRD Sema 17" rims from Frank Motors. For my soon delivery of 22 TRD Sport DC LB. The rims are 17x7 with a 4mm offset. I don't know much about offsets. Anyone know the specs what a set of 265/65 /17 (stock size) vs 265/70/17 would be with those rim specs? Speedo or fuel isn't a issue with me. Just wondering will they stick out more (which would look better) or rub anywhere? I will be keeping the suspension stock with no lift. Leaning towards Bridgestones Dueler HT's Cheers Al

IIRC....the stock offset is +30 mm. At 4 mm, your wheel has moved outboard by a little more than 1 inch (26 mm).

    You may have rub.

With the 265 70 17? Stock size 265 65 17 I should be fine then? Like that it moved out, but that's probably why it may rub on the 265 70 17 I'm guessing

The 265/70-17 tire will be about 1" larger diameter than the 265/65-17 tire. The +4 mm offset will move the tire 1" to the outboard direction.

The combination may cause the outside corner of the tread to make contact with the fender at full turn.

YOU will need to fit the tire/wheel combination to verify.

I will not say for sure if rub will occur........it might.

You should be fine with the 265 70 17. If you have a bit of rub a wheel alignment can help.
