Little bit of this and that
Park Rd 231 from Big Lake to Warm Creek Bay can be fun as well.

Edit: Ahlstrom Point is awesome, although I've only ever been out in that area by boat.

Anyone have any experience with awnings that are easy to take off and put on?

I'm thinking about getting an awning, but I'd like for it to be semi-easy to remove. Something a little less ghetto than a blue tarp, some tent poles, and some magnets.

Do you have an aftermarket roof rack on the runner? What would you be mounting the awning to?

Right now just the OEM rack with crossbars. I'm going to take a wild guess that I'll have to upgrade if I want to run anything quick detachable.

Some googling has turned up "RacksBrax" that are like QD mounts that look super baller, you just hook the awning in and slide what amounts to a cotter pin in and then lock it, but it looks like on OEM roof racks you wouldn't be able to access the key to lock the cotter pin.
Not a safety issue, but a theft one as anyone could just yoink your awning if they knew how to unclip it.

There have been a bunch of group tune days around Phoenix with KDMax/OVTune. I have it and think its kinda meh. Only real noticeable gain is absurdly immediate throttle response. Like, the tip-in happens about as soon as you think to push the pedal. To the point where in dirt/gravel you have to relearn how to drive because itll shoot rocks from your tires ha. I was expecting a bump in power but didnt feel it. I was also expecting the tune to help with hunting gears on the highway, poor cruise control behavior and correct my speedo for bigger tires. The tune does none of those things. Everyone else seems to give more positive reviews than mine so take it with a grain of salt I guess.

Well 9 months after installing my bumper and winch I finally wired it and spooled up the cable ha. The control box fit perfectly in the "trough" the winch lives in. Mounted it in a location where I can plug in the controller from behind the grill with the hood open or through the access hole in the front of the bumper.

edit: wow I need to ditch that ugly stock skid plate

Hey gents, asking for a favor. Give my brother’s new business venture a follow on Instagram. He has an original design on a pop up camper.
HARDWALL POP-UP!!! He plans to start selling these early next year.

Oh shoot! Really?!?! We genuinely thought there was not another hard-wall pop-up camper on the market. Who else makes one?

Sounds like it doesnt do much more than a throttle booster.

A lot of mixed reviews out there.

Everything from "It made my truck a whole new truck, the way it should be" vs "how do I undo this"

Off the top of my head, Hiatus makes the same style your brother is doing. there are a few hard sided wedge style also, and then you have the traditional hard sided pops up that many manufacture all the way back to the 50's like Alaskan, and Hi-Lo ect.

With everyone having wait times, this should be a good thing for him.
