Yeah I hate when people justify an overspend by comparing it to the cost of other stuff. And it has to be all relative too. In the grand scheme of things, it's "only" a few hundred bucks, but still. In SF, an avocado toast is $15. I can certainly afford $15. But I tell the restaurant to go pound sand and I'll harvest my own.

Like the Pro grill. What's the OEM cost, like $500? I spent $150 on a replica 3 years ago and it's doing great.

I'll even do one better than the Pelican. Home Depot had Ridgid cases for $29 each. Bought two. They are nice quality. Mounted that on my roof and just got back from a 1000 mile road trip to Joshua Tree. 80mph on the I5 and they did admirably.

After hardware, I was well under $100 for great Prinsu storage.

yeah, i hate when people have different opinions….and comparing the trd pro grill to something that is actually functional not purely cosmetic is asinine. In regards to mounting, after drilling into the Roam with 1/4” carriage bolts, i simply used some silicone in the holes and it’s been water tight. So you see, after boasting all about how you paid off your rig, and calling people on the interwebz “kid”, you are still one big pile of wretched fail…:poking:

Yup, one sentence about it is total chest pounding after a needlessly immature and confrontational post from you calling me poor because I’m unwilling to spend nearly $1000 for a couple cases that don’t meet my baseline for value or dimensional specifications while you weirdly posture about buying something that you somehow think I can’t afford.

So enjoy your Roam cases while I’m over here not giving a shit about them or anything else you might say✌

Those who value the cost of things, over the functionality and usefulness it provides have opinions that are worthless to me.

Roam makes nice products, they are better quality than the Pelican Vaults. But some folks can't justify their price tag when the vault costs 1/2 as much and provides 98% of the same function and utility. It's a freaking box at the end of the day... Some folks think the Vaults are too expensive, so maybe have a slice of humble pie and enjoy the fruits of your labor with that $45k truck.
